Carnaby Street, Neubau

This little gem of a store is located, not in Swinging London, but in 1070, Wien, where owner Oliver Schaffer, welcomes all 60s freaks, devotees and collectors. "1967 was the greatest year in fashion and music - bringing forth an explosion of revolutionary ideas that changed the world".

A collector of 60s paraphernalia since 20 years himself, Schaffer is amused to find items "Made in Austria" in England, USA, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and even Australia. "German and Austrian fashion companies often exported better products than they sold at home". Sounds typical.

Mary Quant, Rudi Gernreich and Paco Rabanne are only a few important designers of the epoch available in Carnaby Street. But not only die-hard 60s fans will be delighted in crossing the threshold, as visitors are warned - even more conservative tastes will be influenced POSITIVELY by the assortment here!
