Photo: The morbid adventures of Minge

Taking fashion risks is about taking risks
that peel off the layers of your self-consciousness
and allow you to open up as an individual.

Since leaving my office job, I finally get to wear my more risqué items of clothing every day rather than for the odd night out - such as this high-waisted skirt from the 80s. Yellow is not a color that flatters many, especially not me, but I considered it safe worn far away from my pale face and mousy hair. In the privacy of my four walls, I've combined it in more daring ways, but chickened out and toned it down before leaving the house - perhaps in anticipation of the gothic extravaganza I will be attending tonight?
